Today’s daily inspiration from catholic digest is Matthew 11:29 – take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. coincidence?

I smack my head, again, I forgot! As I reread, “The Kingdom of God is among you” I forgot to see as You see Lord. I forgot and didn’t see how much you love me, you love the work I have already done and you are proud of me. I only saw what I was lacking and how alone I felt and it seemed to hard to carry on. How often I have prayed to see as you see and TODAY, I forgot. I was filled with discouragement until I read today’s readings and you reminded me once again how you are with me in all the things I do and I am overwhelmed with your love and the gratitude in my heart. You deserve my praise and thanksgiving, Lord. I am ready to take your Yoke and learn from you once more. Thank you for this series that reminds me how to be your follower.

Coincidence, No I have really praying and thinking about just what Jeff is talking about seeing the world with the eyes of Christ. The first lesson for me was in 1 Cor 1:18 The message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. A good lesson for me because I want to judge, I want to snap back, I want to yell “you just don’t get it do you”. But I have to step back and think of this scripture “foolishness to others”. Thank You Lord.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Again you have given so much in such a simple fashion that I can truly understand the concept of PRAISE & THANKSGIVING. God has blessed you and will continue to bless you because you evangelize his people and turn them around. God bless you Jeff and again, THANK YOU

I recently watched Jesus Christ, Superstar on TV and was really impressed with a phrase that the character, Judas sang which was, “You set them on fire…” This is from the song, ‘Heaven on Their Minds’ lyrics by Tim Rice, music by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
In your patient and knowledgeable way, Jeff, you are accomplishing the same thing. You are igniting me with a spirit of adventure and desire that I haven’t experienced for quite a while. May God bless and thank you. I know I will falter at times but I am determined to become the best follower I can be. Not when I choose to be His follower, but I will work on being a full time follower. I have my work cut out for me. I am excited and revved up!

So in all things give Thanks….. having survived a few difficulties in my life ….looking back I see the wisdom on God in my life….. so…. now…. I do do a bit of nashing of teeth still….but I am confident that God’s plan is far better than mine…. and therefore when trouble enters I immediately start praying that I come to understand God’s purpose in this and go with the flow…

  • Jody

Yes, I am inspired !!! Inspired to see the bad moments and good moments in my life through the eyes of Jesus. It’s all there in the bible what Jesus would do, I need to keep reading the bible, spending time with Jesus, on a daily basis.
